State Minister of Justice Briefs Cabinet on Judicial Reforms and Human Rights in Galmudug.

A meeting chaired by the President of Galmudug, H.E. Ahmed Abdi Kariye (Qoorqoor), was recently held at the Galmudug Presidential Palace. Among the attendees was the State Minister of Justice and Judicial Affairs, Hon. Abdinasir Osman, who briefed the Council of Ministers on the current state of the judiciary in the region.

In his detailed presentation, Minister Abdinasir highlighted the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to reform and strengthen the justice system in Galmudug. He underscored the government’s commitment to ensuring that judicial services are accessible, fair, and efficient for all citizens across the region.

The Minister outlined new strategic plans aimed at improving legal services and ensuring that vulnerable communities—particularly those affected by drought and insecurity—receive adequate legal protection. He emphasized the importance of upholding fundamental human rights and ensuring that all citizens, regardless of their circumstances, have equal access to justice.

Furthermore, Minister Abdinasir stressed the need for stronger collaboration between judicial institutions to expand legal aid and support services in areas with security and economic challenges. He also proposed the launch of widespread public awareness campaigns to educate citizens about their legal rights and how to access government-provided legal services.

The meeting served as a critical platform for the Cabinet to review the status of the justice sector in Galmudug and assess the progress made in promoting judicial transparency and trust in the legal system.

In conclusion, the State Minister called on all government institutions and the wider community to work collectively towards achieving a justice system that serves all people equally, safeguards fundamental rights, and supports the broader goals of peace, stability, and good governance in Galmudug.
