The newly appointed Commander of the Somali Police Force, General Asad Osman Abdullahi, held an important meeting with the Italian Ambassador to Somalia, Mr. Amb. Mario Daccò Coppi. The focus of this meeting was on enhancing security cooperation between Somalia and Italy, with particular attention to the fight against terrorism, increasing training opportunities for the police force, and Italy’s ongoing support for the Somali Police Force.
Additionally, the meeting addressed Italy’s key role in advancing police operations and efforts to ensure internal security in Somalia. Italy is a vital partner providing full support to the Somali Police Force, aimed at strengthening internal security and reducing the threat of terrorist groups.”
