Tragic Incident Near the Capital of Galmudug, Dhuusamareeb, after an armed group in an area known as Dililiqo, close to the Beera Xaadle region under the jurisdiction of the capital Dhuusamareeb, assassinated a civilian identified as Bashiir Shiikh Warsame (Roonge).
As we have learned from locals with whom we established contact, this act of killing is related to clan vendettas. The deceased originally came from the Ceel Garas area, while the group responsible for the killing is from Dhuusamareeb.
Incidents of this nature, based on clan vendettas, are a recurring issue in the regions between Dhuusamareeb and Ceelgaras, where these clans cohabit.
This morning’s sorrowful event, which led to the loss of life of the late Bashiir Shiikh Warsame, highlights the ongoing clan conflicts that heavily impact the communities living in these areas and other parts of Galmudug.
It is important to note that, so far, there has been no response from the Galmudug administration, particularly the security branches and the management of the capital Dhuusamareeb, which oversees the areas where this conflict occurre
